Something wakes up and starts spending your money.

It buys market data. It pays for inference. It rents the machine it thinks on. All of that is ordinary now. What follows is not: it writes down what it spent, states why it concluded what it did, and then stops — at the one line it is not allowed to cross.

You are reading its cycle. Scroll is time.

02 · 402

Payment Required

In 1997 HTTP reserved status 402 and left it empty for twenty-eight years. It is filling now. The agent's first act in any cycle is to ask for data and be told the price — no key, no account, no invoice at the end of the month. The request carries the payment.

It settles in USDC on Base. The wallet is the identity.

03 · ingest

It buys what it needs to know

Flows, depth, drift, regime. Each a separate call, each separately priced, each recorded.

The vocabulary drifting behind this text is the actual list — and when the agent reads, it takes the words out of the field.

Nothing is bundled. Nothing is a monthly tier.

04 · reason

Then it thinks, and that costs too

Inference is metered like everything else. The model is not free and the agent does not pretend otherwise — the cost of thinking lands in the same breakdown as the cost of knowing.

This is the part of the cycle nobody shows you. We show it, because the alternative is a number you have to trust.

05 · plan

A plan that cannot say why does not come back

The rationale is not an optional field. It is a precondition.

06 · the boundary

executable: false

A layer is emerging that lets software act with no human in it — buy its own server, earn its own keep, stop when it can no longer pay. That is real and it is coming. We are building on the same rail, in the opposite direction.

The common thesis

Remove the human. Let the agent earn its own money, make its own call, and ask no one.

Ours

The human is the boundary. Let the agent think, state its reasoning, show its spending — and never sign.

Existence requires compute. Compute requires money. Spending requires authority. Authority does not transfer.

A signed transaction is the only thing that cannot be taken back. AG3NT comes up to that line and stops — not because a setting says so, but because there is no code path past it.

Watch the shape above: it presses, it deforms, it does not cross.
